Weekend Inspiration : An Artists home in Mexico

It is Friday evening.......my favorite time of the week :) The weekend looms large with endless possibilities. Okay I tend to romanticize things once in a while :)I have a pretty regular weekend coming up with endless tasks but who cares.....for now I can day dream :)



This is the home of Aldo Chaparro an artist based in Mexico city. Now this would be the perfect space to spend a weekend afternoon. Endless chai, books, friends, family and endless chatter......or if you prefer solitude, a paintbrush or some poetry........whatever your heart desire. As for me, I am loving this look today!!

Weekend Moments and Instagram

Hi there and a Happy New Week to you. I would like to greet you with a hot cup of tea :) I love everything about this image. From the heart, to the tea set to that book :) My weekend was rather eventful. My little one has been down with a bad cold that refuses to go away. She is five and keeps us on our toes :) I worked on my fist DIY project with hubby! We actually managed to change the upholstery of the breakfast nook dining chairs. I know this may not be such a big deal for you DIY Divas out there but for me it was, and it felt great :) I shall share the pictures soon.





Now back to this pretty cup of tea :)

To humor my little one we drove 20 minutes from home to see this....... She loves ferry boats and the water. It was a cloudy day and I took this picture from my phone! We drove there and back and she was all smiles :)

Sunday breakfast is a big deal in my house. Always has been since I was a child in my parents home. Today, we sat around the table and chatted for hours. It was the best part of the day listening to my children chatter incessantly :)

Shopping Finds "Love"

Happy Friday to all of you! I found this cute tin sign for my home today! I have been looking for something like this for a while. I so am excited!! I have a busy weekend ahead! I am not complaining, it promises to be good.......the fun kind :) 



What about you? Call me crazy, but I usually keep Saturdays as fun days.... and Sunday is when we run the errands and handle the chores. For a while we were doing only one or the other! Sigh!! However, off late this seems to be working for me and my family!!

Friday Happiness At Home!!

Fridays are always special!! It is more so, when I wake up to see some sunshine filtering through. Need I remind you that I live in Seattle :) I blissfully sat and enjoyed my cup of tea this morning with the sun on my face :) Starbucks has recently opened in India. While I was there I picked up this lovely mug....pretty cool huh?

An Evening Glow

I like to believe that I am an organised person!! However, off late, I have too many things on my plate. Nothing seems to get done!!! Yes, its one of those days for me.....sigh! Well at least, I am happy its Friday....... as I am sure you are too :) Here's wishing you a fabulous weekend from my home to yours. I took this picture a few days ago when I had some people over. Hello October and an Update

Hello there. Last weekend we took a break from our crazy routine and drove up to the mountains. We stopped at this lovely place for lunch. The setting was gorgeous. I loved the burning coal on the tables. It was the perfect way to dine on a cold day!

Hello September

I had a crazy morning, one kid packed off to Pre-K and the other to Third Grade. The alarm was a complete shock to my system. Lunch boxes to be found, backpacks that were "fab" last year are no longer "cool" this year :) There was last minute shopping for school supplies.....no matter how much I plan, there is something missing!! The endless car line this morning will take some getting used to!! I shall miss my little babies and their incessant chatter :) Thankfully my parents are here so the house does not feel empty!



The picture above is from this weekend. We took the kids to see these two historic ships - including one used in the filming of "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl". I have to say that I enjoyed it as much as my kids :)



I spotted this lovely room in El Mueble and had to share it with you. I love the light and the flowers........it looks so warm and inviting.

Sunday Ramblings and a Vacation Hangover!

How have you been? I have missed you and I hope you have too :) 

I am back from a lovely family vacation. More about that later. For now, I am gearing up for an action packed week on My Dream Canvas. Today, I am enjoying a lazy Sunday and dealing with a wee bit of jet lag!

The days are glorious, the temperature is just right and the sun is shining. I could not ask for more!

Weekend Bliss

Hello there, Hope you are having a good weekend? Mine has been pretty good with sunshine and my parents for company :) They arrived from the UK two days ago and I am in a stare of bliss :)

It is almost April and I am getting more and more tempted to spend time outdoors. As I work towards resurrecting my backyard this lovely space has caught my eye. I like how fresh, green and beautiful it all looks!
