Come Fly With Me To The Spanish Pyrenees

Oh dear! With the fog and chilly temperatures in my neck of the woods, this mountain getaway looks fabulous!!

This home is made up of three traditional Pyrenean farm buildings. The property is a 3 and a half hour drive from Barcelona in the town of Val d' Aran. This picturesque town has 10,000 permanent residents. It starts at the French border and meanders southward for 25 miles, terminating at the Baqueira/Beret ski are. Your neighbors will probably be the rich and famous of Spain, most notably the royal family.

Come Fly With Me To Hawaii

As Summer begins to fade......I cannot help but reminisce about the days gone by. We made a quick trip to Hawaii last month which was absolutely perfect. I have been to Hawaii before but this trip was extremely special :) I had my parents with me!! We spent the most beautiful seven days in Oahu. It really was a dream come true. We deliberated till the last minute as there were some issues that came up before the trip. However I am so glad we stuck to our plan!

A good old fashioned family holiday is my kind of vacation. I am very grateful that my parents could travel with us. Hawaii is a spectacular destination. I love the glitz and glamour of Waikiki, and adore the tranquility and beauty of the North Shore. This trip we spent all our time in Oahu. My two favorite islands in Hawaii are Oahu and Kauai.

I am sharing some images from my vacation.......I could easily spend a lifetime there :)

Keep on smiling and have a great week!

Come Fly With Me To Taroudant, Morocco

Come fly with me to Morocco today :) We are travelling to a little market town called Taroudant which is off the beaten path from Morocco's tourist circuit. Like many of you Morocco fascinates me. I hope to get there sometime soon. The color, the architecture, the look and feel of this beautiful part of the world tempts me everyday!

Dar al Hossoun is a unique Eco friendly guesthouse in Taroudant. This property is built entirely by local builders & craftsmen using natural materials and ancestral techniques. I love the earthy hues around the entire property. This place looks luxurious and yet seems lost in time......the perfect getaway in my mind :)

Taroudant

I could never ever get tired of seeing a sight like this :)

The beautiful gardens designed by the world famous landscape architects Eric Ossart and Arnaud Mauriere.

The guesthouse is very close to the age old ramparts of Taroudant.

Come Fly With Me To Skyros Island Greece

Come Fly With Me To Greece today :)These images are of two lovely guesthouses connected by a beautiful courtyard. This property is located on an island called  Skyros in Greece. The owner of this property is Georgios C Carabellas who owns a lifestyle brand called TR2.

The buildings are old and the courtyard has the most stunning floor tiles. The entire layout of the place is chic. Here is where eclectic design blends together with traditional elements. From the glamorous chandeliers to the beautiful accents there is so much to like about this place!

This for me is the perfect island getaway.....the endless expanse of the sea, the luxurious interiors, the mandarin trees, the stunning architecture and solitude!

What do you think?? Are you ready to pack your bags :)

Come Fly With Me To "The Farm" Jaipur

Hello there My Come With Me Series for this week takes us to my favorite state in India....Rajasthan! I lived in Jaipur and other parts of Rajasthan for many many years. I miss Rajasthan a lot and try and make a trip there whenever I can.

The Farm is an inventive and artistic little boutique hotel on the outskirts of Jaipur. The Farm is largely constructed from spare parts and salvaged furniture from the owners old palace. The hotel opened in 2009. In this hotel, the treasured cultural heritage of its young Rajput owners meets reinvention, originality and flair. The Farm is also a creative space that showcases the work of many artists both known and unknown.

While the property offers all the luxuries you need, reuse, recycle and re-purpose is the mantra of the hotel. All the 6 rooms in the hotel have a unique personality of their own.

I am intrigued by this eclectic and artistic hotel. To know more about "The Farm" click here.

Come Fly With Me To Turkey

I am back this morning with another edition of the "Come Fly With Me" series. I do realize that this long overdue :-) Turkey is the featured destination of this edition. Turkey has been on my must see list for several years. I hope to be heading there next year. My plan is to see the sights in Istanbul, shop at the Grand Bazaar, and stay at the lovely Hotel Macakizi. Of course, this is still an idyllic dream at the moment. We'll see if I can translate this dream into reality next year.

I am mesmerized by the sweeping Bougainvilleas and the endless expanse of the sea below. Maçakızı was established in 1977 by Ayla Emiroğlu as a pension and a private beach located in Bodrum town. The aim was to create an inspiring environment for writers, painters, and intellectuals. This sounds like my kind of place :) Today, Maçakızı has been transformed from a bohemian bed & breakfast into a beautiful boutique hotel with a private beach and a world-renowned restaurant.

I can certainly see myself holidaying in Turkey or even living there:) If you do decide that you want to make Turkey your permanent home, you can always look at www.spotblue.com/turkey-real-estate.

Sigh! A few months in Turkey sounds heavenly :)

Come Fly With Me to Costa Del Sol

As a new week dawns, I invite you to "Come Fly With Me to Costa Del Sol". This beautiful home is located in a small town in Costa Del Sol, Spain.
Villa Mandarina  belongs to Ana T. Béjar who owns  ETNO Design. In classic Andalusian style, this white washed home is a haven of light and peace.
The owner refers to it as an oasis and calls it a dream come true! Sigh! I could not agree more!  I think I have mentioned this many times before,  and here I go again.....the Andalusian region in Spain is one of my favorite places on earth and I yearn to go back :)

Here's wishing you a wonderful and productive week ahead! For now, sit back, relax and enjoy the view :)

The home in all its glory!!

Come Fly With Me To Cambodia's Islands

To shake of those Monday blues you need to Come Fly With Me to Song Saa, a private island in Cambodia! I hope you are interested :) This is Cambodia’s first luxury private island resort. Exotic luxury combined with refined elegance and stunning views...... Song Saa is a dream come true :) The protection of the natural environment and the support of local communities is central to Song Saa’s ethical charter. What's not to love about that!

I would be happy to wake up here!

Take a stroll down here!

Contemplate about my life here!

Dig into something delicious......yum!

So pretty and simple!

My favorite.....brass bowls and tea lights in a tree trunk...sigh!

Happy Monday everyone!!

Come Fly With Me To Croatia

I have been dreaming of the sea after my recent trip to the coast! Watching the waves, the enormity of the ocean and the solitude tends to linger in my mind for a while :)

While, I have been fortunate to have travelled to most of Western Europe, Eastern Europe has been on my list of places to visit. I did spend a week in Prague a few years ago and I loved it. Though it is tempting to cover multiple cities/countries in Europe in a short period of time, I really enjoy spending more time in each of the countries. Hubby and I usually rent a car and drive around. We spend at least ten days in each place and sometimes even more! It is so much nicer as you get to leave the big cities and explore the countryside. Europe has so much to offer that we would probably need a lifetime to explore every corner of it :)

Lately, I have been fascinated with Croatia. I would love to visit Dubrovnik. "Come Fly With Me" as I take you to this beautiful city on the Adriatic sea
.
Villa Orsula is s a blend of modern luxury and tradition in historical Dubrovnik. It was built in 1939 and has been completely restored and reopened as a luxury hotel in 2012.

I am drawn to the villa's beautiful setting, historical character and luxurious interiors. The first image just took my breath away!
